Tongue
A Night You'll
Never Remember Vol. 2: All Roads Lead To Me EP
There’s a thick air of rawness to Tongue’s latest A Night You'll Never Remember Vol. 2: All
Roads Lead To Me EP, a rough-around-the-edges feel akin to grabbing a six
pack of cold tall boys and hanging out in your buddies garage just jamming the
night away. This EP is bookended by its two best offerings, opener “How You
Made Me Feel,” and the closing “All This Warmth,” the former being perhaps the
most ready cut of the three presented here, though both are fueled by fuzzy,
driving guitars riffs, pulsating bass lines and an underlying punk-rock spirit.
In-between the two however lays “Monster Walks the Summer Lake,” an atmospheric
and expansive wanderer that meanders for the most part, one that often fails to
get out of its own way. With a bit of polish, Tongue could become a nice little
rock export from Serbia, and A Night
You'll Never Remember Vol. 2: All Roads Lead To Me EP could be the start of
something good.
