“A Concert by the Lake”
Eagle Rock Entertainment

“A Concert by the Lake” brings together a handful of the best musicians on the planet for one night only for this DVD release from Eagle Rock Entertainment. Honestly, where else are you going to find the likes of Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, the Drifters and Roger Taylor together on stage in one night? Well, “a Concert by the Lake” was able to pull it off in style and it all went down at the Wintershall Estate in Surrey, England in front of an endearing crowd who looked like they were indeed watching the worlds best.

This DVD release is really one of the better ones you’ll find when it comes to quality – great camera work and even better lighting that never fail to create awesome visuals, and that’s not even scratching the surface. Add to the visual aspect a stunning set list that features looks at the catalogues of each show participant and the fact that the concert itself runs over two hours in length (128 minutes).

On top of it all, proceeds from the DVD go to benefit the H.A.S.T.E. (Heart and Stroke Trust Endeavor). Really, what else can you ask for? Well, better extra content would have been good, but seeing Taylor perform ‘I Want to Break Free,’ the Drifters perform ‘Stand By Me,’ Clapton perform ‘Cocaine,’ and literally everyone pitch in on ‘I Can’t Dance,’ more than makes up for things.

“A Concert by the Lake” is a recommended watch and an even more recommended purchase.
