News: Julien-K Moving Up the Charts

After two solid years of touring with the likes of Linkin Park, Mindless Self Indulgence, My Chemical Romance, Evanescence, among many others, JULIEN-K shifted focus onto the release of their long-awaited and highly-anticipated debut album Death to Analog which was released March 10th on Metropolis Records.

Now that the record is out, the nuts and bolts of a Summer tour are starting to take shape and the band is itchy to get back on the stage. A full summer tour will be announced shortly.

Julien-K will not only be celebrating the release of their album but also their entrance onto the charts. The single "Kick The Bass" debuted on Billboard's "Breakouts For Hot Dance Club Play" chart at #3, two spots ahead of Britney Spears' "If U Seek Amy." The previous week, the album debuted at #10 on the "Electronic" chart, #35 on iTunes "Rock Chart," and #37 on the "Heatseeker" chart. Death to Analog entered into CMJ's "Top 200" at #184.

Julien-K is the brainchild of two of the founding members of the platinum selling group Orgy - Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck, and is rounded out by drummer Elias Andra and studio collaborator Brandon Belsky on keyboards and vocals. These synth/aggrotech rockers fuse elements of dark electronic club music with styles of modern rock and pop and fill a void that exists between genres without leaning too heavily in any direction. “Why is there no band that’s really rocking my world,”asks vocalist Shuck. “Where are the revolutionaries? I haven’t seen any bands stirring that up, bringing a new look, a new everything, kids buying guitars because they want to sound like that band. With Julien-K that’s what I’m going for. I want to start a movement – a new religion."

Death to Analog was Executive Produced by Linkin Park's Chester Bennington and mixed by Tim Palmer (The Cure, HIM, U2).
