Avastera Part Ways With Singer; Welcomes Applications For Role

Aussie alt-rockers Avastera have announced they have asked lead singer Mike Lang to leave the band.

The Perth-based band are now on the search for a new frontman and insist they will consider all applications - no matter where you're currently based in the world.

The band released the following statement about Mike Lang's departure and what their requirements are for the new singer:

"In order for Avastera to move forward and take things to the next level, we've had to ask Mike to leave the band. It's not an easy thing to do, but there are numerous factors that contributed to our final decision to move forward without him. Essentially there were more things about Mike that was holding the band back, as opposed to the things that were of a benefit to the band progressing. It's been a pleasure having Mike on board in 2012 and we would like to wish him all the best in his future endeavors."

"We are currently in the process of appointing the new permanent lead vocalist. Whilst we have already contacted a number of potential candidates, we here at Avastera have never let any restrictions hold us back. With that said; We want this search to go as far and wide as possible to ensure we find the perfect fit.

Therefore, if YOU feel that you are capable of fulfilling the position, please send through your details and vocal samples to avastera@live.com.au."

Successful applicants will be contacted for further auditions. NOTE: You DO NOT have to be from Perth to apply. You can be from anywhere in the world. However, previous band experience is necessary.
